Child Abuse Prevention and Training
Senate Bill 379, “Child Abuse Training for School Employees, Parents, and Students” was passed into law in 2007. The law requires all school district and education service district employees to annually participate in child abuse prevention training.
While most citizens are not mandatory reporters, we all share a responsibility to prevent child abuse and protect children. All school district employees are mandatory reporters. Parents are invited to review the Corvallis School District’s publication on Maintaining Appropriate Student Boundaries and to watch the videos below.
