Volunteer

In today’s schools, there are far more jobs and responsibilities than there are people to do them. By helping with special events and routine tasks, volunteers allow teachers and staff to really focus on helping children learn and grow. Volunteers allow our schools to offer children and families more services.

If you are interested in volunteering in our school district, we encourage you to contact the school of your choice to see what opportunities are available. To learn more about individual school activities, please contact individual schools.

Volunteer Application

All volunteers are required to fill out an application and a background check. Volunteer applicants must have their background check cleared before they can volunteer. Please allow a minimum of three (3) weeks for notification that your application has been approved.

Approvals for background checks are good for two school years. Everyone requesting to volunteer will need to fill out a volunteer application and background check for the 2024-2025 school year.

Background Check

A background check is required for all volunteers in the Corvallis School District.

• Volunteer applicants must have a background check cleared before they can volunteer.
• Please allow three weeks for notification that your application has been approved.
• Background checks are good for two years. The school year in which you apply counts as one full year.

Current Volunteers

Once approved as a volunteer, you may create a home access page to manage your volunteering including update school where you volunteer, select specific volunteer jobs and track your volunteer hours.
