Energy and Water
As of October 2018, six of our schools participate in the Energy Trust of Oregon's Strategic Energy Management Program. The Facilities Improvement Bond Program includes Sustainability Design Standards to ensure any new facilities built by the district will optimize building performance to provide a safe, healthy, and comfortable place for students to learn and thrive while minimizing environmental impact both locally and globally.
Facilities
The four areas covered by the Healthy and Safe Schools Plan include; radon, lead in drinking water, lead paint and integrated pest management. Additionally, we follow air quality safety protocols related to asbestos and vehicle idling near school buildings.
